Our World reaches beyond the EU

Iceland being swallowed By The European Union, simply means that future opportunities will be thrown away. Icelands population count, is about the same as the population of Aachen, a minor city in Germany. Does Aachen have voting rights at the United Nations?  Is Aachen´s voice heard at the UN? I dont think so. I could keep on asking similar questions and answering in the same manner.  The facts are:

Our existence is simply based on one solid foundation:  Iceland is an independent nation and our independence is and has been our main reason for being. = Period

I for one, am well aware - just like the majority of thinking Icelanders - that the world market reaches to wider area than is controlled or covered by the EU.  If EU does not want to do business with us, we just look in other directions - Iceland was forced to do so during the WW2.  That gave the country - among other opportunities - a solid foundation for declaring its independence.  If needed, we can look in other directions again, AND REST ASSURED:  WE WILL FIND WHAT WE SEEK!
